Experience:
Min. 4 years’ experience as Production Foreman/Supervisor in blasting and painting operations within PEB / Structural Steel fabrication industry.
Required Qualification
-
Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Production/Paint Technology -Engineering.
-
NACE / BGAS certification preferred (Level I or II).
Required Technical Skills
-
Abrasive blasting operations and surface preparation standards
(SA / SSPC / ISO)
-
Paint application (airless spray, conventional spray, touch-up)
-
Measurement of
DFT, humidity, temperature, and surface profile
-
Thorough understanding of coating systems such as
epoxy, polyurethane, and zinc-rich primers.
-
Knowledge of international surface preparation and coating standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO 8501).
-
Working exp in
SAP Environment
is advantageous.

Operating knowledge of all latest
MS Excel, Computer packages, AUTO CAD.
-
Exposure to ISO 9001 (Quality),
ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety)
, systems preferred.

Good command of English and Hindi; Arabic is an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Prioritize and promote a strong safety culture
within the blasting and painting areas by enforcing the use of PPE, ensuring proper ventilation, fire prevention measures, and strict adherence to EHS procedures.
-
Conduct daily Toolbox meetings and shift handovers
to review safety topics, production goals, and job assignments.
-
Ensure proper shift rotation
and effective handover between shifts to maintain continuity and operational efficiency.
-
Encourage good practices & Issue warning notes or/and disciplinary action to nonperforming workmen
-
Supervise and control blasting and painting operations for PEB and structural steel components as per approved paint notes and coating specifications.
-
Plan and organize daily and weekly work schedules
, allocate manpower effectively, and monitor shift progress to meet production and quality targets.
-
Ensure surface preparation meets specified
cleanliness and roughness profiles (SSPC-SP10)
and verify correct paint type, mixing ratio, pot life, viscosity, and application method according to manufacturer data sheets.

Check and record environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and dew point prior to and during coating operations.
-
Inspect blasted and painted surfaces for
cleanliness, coverage, Dry Film Thickness (DFT), and adhesion
, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
-
Maintain proper identification and traceability of coated items, including job number, color code, and paint batch number.
-
Ensure
safe handling, storage, and disposal of paints, thinners, and abrasives
in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines.
-
Monitor and maintain painting and blasting equipment, including hoses, spray guns, compressors, and agitators, and
plan for preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.

Ensure
availability of consumables and materials
required for uninterrupted operation by coordinating with maintenance, stores, and procurement.
-
Train and guide blasters, painters, and helpers to ensure
consistent productivity, safety, and quality of work.
-
Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for primer, intermediate, and final coating inspections and resolve non-conformities promptly.

Promote
5S practices and maintain high standards of housekeeping
in blasting and painting areas.

Document daily
production reports, paint consumption, inspection results, and equipment downtime accurately.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at
enhancing coating performance, operational efficiency, and minimizing paint waste and rework.
