Quantity Surveyor (Electrical )- OMAN

B.E in Electrical Engineering or Diploma  with minimum 5+years experience 

Duty Hours 10 hours duty 

Leave rotation 1 year/30 days ,Company will provide  bachelor accommodation and food/food allowance.

1. Cost Estimation:

Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities to estimate the materials, labor, and equipment costs for electrical installations.

Utilizing relevant software and industry databases to generate accurate cost estimates.

Considering factors such as project scope, complexity, market rates, and regulations to determine cost projections.

1. Tendering and Procurement:

Preparing and issuing tender documents for electrical works, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract terms.

Evaluating and comparing bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements and cost-effectiveness.

Participating in contract negotiations and finalizing agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.

1. Project Budgeting and Cost Control:

Developing and maintaining project budgets for electrical works.

Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.

Conducting regular cost reviews, analyzing actual versus budgeted costs, and providing reports to project stakeholders.

1. Variation and Change Management:

Assessing and quantifying variations or changes to electrical works, including scope changes, design modifications, and additional work requests.

Evaluating the cost impact of variations and preparing detailed reports for project managers and clients.

Negotiating and agreeing on variation orders with clients and subcontractors.

1. Progress Valuation and Payment Certifications:

Collaborating with project teams to measure and value completed electrical works.

Preparing interim payment applications and payment certificates based on work progress.

Reviewing subcontractor invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payments.

1. Cost Reporting and Documentation:

Generating regular cost reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete analyses.

Maintaining accurate project records and documentation related to cost control, variations, and contractual agreements.

Assisting in the preparation of final accounts and claims settlement.

1. Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, and industry standards.

Identifying and assessing potential risks and providing recommendations for risk mitigation.

Collaborating with project teams to resolve contractual and commercial disputes.

1. Collaborative Communication:

Liaising and coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Providing professional advice and support on cost-related matters.
