Quantity Surveyor  -  Mechanical  / E&I 

Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
 
Experience:
• Minimum 6-year experience in Quantity Surveying in a major Construction environment.
• Minimum 3 year experience with activity or work sampling techniques and relevant statistic methods.
• Minimum 3 year experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Specific Skill:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Shall be able to continuously interact with Company Construction and QS teams.
• Both accuracy and consistency are good personal requirements.
• Be able to challenge Cost Estimates prepared by others and Third Party.
 
Principal Accontabilities:
 
• Develop Quantity Surveyor instructions and checklists for measuring and reporting on construction Materials, labour man-hours and activities, Plant & Equipment use and the like were quantified.
• Review of proposed “Star Rates” on description and validation.
• Providing all type of measurements or valuations of Direct costs in Cost Estimates at all phases in the ORP development process.
• Can actively train and encourage the development of Omani personnel to Quantity Surveyors roles.
• Single focal point responsible for all Quantity Surveying issues.
• Providing Design personnel with Quantity Surveying input of documents required.
 
Location: Remote
Salary: OMR 600 - 800 (Food + Accommodation + Transportation will be provided by the company) 
Leave Cycle: After 6 months 28 days paid leave
Working Hours: 10 hours
Working Days: 7 Days
