Job Purpose:

Supervise fabrication/Welders trades and semi – skilled employees to ensure assigned work conforms to quality, time and productivity.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

1. Responsible for executing the production activities assigned by the supervisor in coordination with direct workforce.
2. Ensuring the usage of proper raw materials.
3. Ensuring the prefabricated items is in accordance with drawing provided.
4. Ensuring proper identification job.
5. Maintain a master file of on-going jobs along with latest revision drawings.
6. Ensuring the fabricated items is in accordance with provided drawing / client requirement and coordinating with QC team for each stage wise inspection.
7. Records every production activity on daily production report along with actual progress and man hour data.
8. Responsible for implementing the instructions from Safety officer and maintain a safe working environment.
9. Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) :  

• An expert in the area of welding
• Ability to match individuals to teams and match teams to tasks.
• Ability to maximize efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Knowledge of safe operating conditions and the ability to recognize unsafe conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

Education Requirement:

  Minimum  – ITI/Diploma

Experience Requirement:

Minimum  – Min of 10 to 12 years of experience in a mechanical construction industry and 5 years in the same position. Need to have 5 years of shop experience.
