A lineman technician, also called a lineworker, is a skilled professional responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical power lines, including climbing poles, operating aerial devices, installing conductors, transformers, and other related equipment, often working in challenging weather conditions and at significant heights to ensure reliable electricity distribution;  their primary duty is to respond to power outages and perform necessary repairs to restore service.
