Position Assistant Mechanic KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES • To carry out repairs/replacements on machinery and equipment as required. • To attend preventative maintenance on all related machinery and equipment if required. • Work as per shift arrangements as specified by immediate superior. • Ensure proper maintenance and efficient operation of all related machinery and equipment. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience & qualifications • ITI or High School. • 1 years in the same field | Position Assistant Mechanic Reports to Feed Mill Supervisor • Assist mechanics and maintenance technicians in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities. • Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in the feed mill, including conveyors, elevators, mixers, pellet mills, crushers, pumps, gearboxes, and other related machinery. • Support the dismantling, installation, alignment, and replacement of mechanical components. • Assist with lubrication activities and ensure that equipment is properly lubricated according to the maintenance schedule. • Check equipment for unusual noise, vibration, leakage, overheating, or other signs of mechanical problems and report them to the supervisor. • Assist in replacing bearings, belts, chains, couplings, seals, and other mechanical parts. • Maintain tools, equipment, and the maintenance workshop in a clean and organized condition. • Follow maintenance instructions, work permits, and safety procedures at all times. • Ensure proper housekeeping around maintenance areas and production equipment
