Core Role:

Operate conventional (manual) lathe machines to machine and manufacture precision metal components
Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, and shaft machining operations according to engineering specifications
Machine various metals including stainless steel, cast iron, and bronze
Manufacture and repair mechanical parts, shafts, and components with high accuracy
Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Ensure machining operations meet dimensional and quality requirements
Proficiency in using micrometers, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments
Accurately interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions
Execute precision in threading, shaft machining, and turning operations
Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance
Communicate effectively with the team and work independently
Take care of safe working conditions and guide operations to ensure site HSE/Safety programs are implemented
Minimise material waste and machining errors
