Job Description
A Folder Gluer Operator sets up, runs, and maintains machines that turn flat die-cut paper or cardboard blanks into finished, glued cartons and boxes.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup (Make-Ready): Adjust folding rails, glue application systems, and feeding heights according to job cards and box specifications.Operation & Monitoring: Run the folder-gluer at optimum speeds while feeding material smoothly and watching for jams or misalignments.Quality Control: Inspect finished boxes for folding accuracy, strong adhesive bonds, square alignment, and correct dimensions.Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Clear mechanical jams, fix minor sensor errors, and perform routine cleaning and lubrication of glue heads and rollers.Team Leadership: Direct and guide assistant operators or packing crews working along the production line.Job RequirementsEducation: High school diploma, SSC/HSC, or ITI trade certification preferred.Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating folder gluer machinery in a packaging or printing plant.Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read tape measures and blueprints/job orders, and basic troubleshooting skills.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts, bend, and lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
