ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Role Overview Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Engineer Location: UAE (Multi-site) Experience Required: 8–10 years (UAE/GCC experience is mandatory) Industry Focus: Large-scale Catering, Central Kitchens, Hospitality, and Healthcare Facilities Core Objective: Urgent hiring to manage a significant workload increase following major new contracts (including NG, PG, and multiple UAE hospitals). Key Responsibilities Multi-Site Operations: Oversee facilities maintenance across various geographic locations in the UAE, ensuring 100% operational readiness of high-capacity catering facilities, commercial central kitchens, heavy-duty laundries, and staff amenities. PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Execute and monitor Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (R&M) using CMMS software to maximize equipment uptime. Financial & Budget Control: Estimate project costs, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), manage maintenance budgets, and conduct repair-vs-replace cost analyses. Reporting & Compliance: Conduct regular site inspections, generate detailed Site Visit Reports, and track monthly KPIs. Enforce strict HSEQ and local UAE food safety standards (HACCP, ADFCA, Dubai Municipality). Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of on-site technicians and supervisors. Job Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering. Experience: 8–10 years of solid facilities management experience in the UAE/GCC, with a mandatory background in large-scale catering, food production, or hospitality maintenance. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (heavy-duty ovens, blast chillers, cold rooms), industrial laundry systems, large-scale HVAC, and CMMS platforms. Mobility & Compliance: Valid UAE Driving License is required (multi-site travel). Must be certified medically fit to work in food-handling/catering environments.
