Eligibility Criteria
• Engine metrology knowledge
• Experience of working on vessels
• Expertise in Caterpillar or Cummins
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
• Knows how to service fuel pumps and setting on engine after servicing
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a marine field service technician or similar
Roles & Responsibilities
• Vessel Maintenance: Execution of preventive and curative maintenance on the vessel engines and gearboxes according to manufacturer’s specifications. Ability to use diagnostic tools.
• Technical Support: Providing technical support to technical teams onshore, and offshore for troubleshooting, equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Material planning. Addressing technical issues and finding practical solutions to minimize downtime and maximize the vessel efficiency.
• Budgeting and cost control: Optimise cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Performance monitoring & quality control: Identification of problem areas and providing solutions and implementing measures to enhance the overall technical performance. Quality control of work executed at shore.
• Spare parts & inventory management: Solid knowledge of spare parts and variations.
• Training and development: Training and development of staff.
• Other: Execution of maintenance of mechanical equipment onshore.
