Position: Maintenance Technician at Greece
Salary: € 950 – € 1,000 per month + Overtime
Visa Period: Work Permit /visa (12 Months)
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Language Skills: Basic to Intermediate English Speaking & Listening.
Experience: 2–4 years in industrial maintenance (plastics or manufacturing preferred).
1. Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician maintains, inspects, and repairs industrial machinery to ensure smooth production of plastic pipes and fittings. This role focuses on preventing equipment breakdowns, fixing electrical and mechanical faults, and keeping factory utilities running safely. The technician works closely with production staff to maximize plant efficiency and minimize downtime.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance on extruders, injection moulding machines, pumps, motors and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair machine parts (sensors, valves, motors) while responding quickly to breakdowns, handling machine setups, managing spare parts, and keeping records to minimize downtime. Work with production staff and supervisors to resolve machine issues.
3. Roles & Duties
• Keep production machines running efficiently with minimum downtime.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and technical issues.
• Support machine operators and engineers during machine setup and changes.
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures, Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
4. Skills & Competencies
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read basic technical manuals, electrical diagrams and machine drawings.
• Ability to work with tools and machinery safely and troubleshooting and problem-solving skills..
• Basic English communication and teamwork skills.
5. Work Conditions
• Industrial plant environment with exposure to high-voltage equipment, hot machinery, and heavy components.
• Rotating shift schedule, including morning, evening, night, and on-call emergency breakdown coverage.
• Physical labour involved, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined machinery areas.
• Strict safety protocols requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety boots, gloves, and eye protection.
