This role involves performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on company fleet vehicles, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problems in vans, trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles. Responsibilities include carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, repairing diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes and clutch systems, inspecting braking systems, suspension systems, and drivetrain components. You will repair and replace mechanical components, perform routine service requirements, diagnose engine performance problems, inspect vehicles before and after maintenance, carry out troubleshooting and breakdown repairs, ensure vehicles are safe before operation, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
