SR Production Engineer

Manage and supervise machine shop and fabrication operations, including CNC, conventional machining, VMC, VTL, HBM, milling, drilling, slotting, fabrication and assembly. Plan and monitor daily/weekly production schedules, manpower, machines, materials, tooling and resources to achieve targets, deadlines and customer requirements. Review drawings, specifications and technical requirements, and plan suitable machining processes, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing methods. Lead and develop engineers, programmers, supervisors, machinists, operators, fabricators and welders, including training and performance evaluation. Provide technical support and resolve machining, fabrication, tooling, quality and production issues to minimize downtime and delays. Ensure quality, dimensional accuracy, customer specifications and HSE requirements are maintained throughout production. Coordinate with QC, HSE, Engineering, Estimation, Stores, Procurement, Maintenance, Sales and Operations for smooth project execution. Monitor productivity, machine utilization, production efficiency, capacity, costs, waste and KPIs, and implement continuous improvement measures. Oversee machine maintenance and breakdowns to ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime. Maintain production records, work orders, job progress, SOPs and work instructions. Support Estimation and Sales with technical and manufacturing feasibility inputs. Report production performance, capacity, issues and improvement plans to the General Manager/Managing Director. Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks for drawing interpretation and technical support.
