1) QUALITY MANAGER

A Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager, is in charge of supervising the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent standards. Their duties include developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues.

A Planning Engineer is a professional who uses technical expertise, analytical thinking, and management skills to plan and schedule projects effectively. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders in the project to create efficient workflows, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans.

2) PLANNING ENGINEERS

The role of Planning Engineer has become increasingly critical in industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. In today’s highly competitive business environment, companies need efficient planning and execution to remain competitive and profitable.

A Planning Engineer can help organizations achieve this competitive advantage by providing a strategic vision for the project and ensuring that timelines and budgets are met. They can also provide valuable insights into the project’s feasibility, profitability, and potential risks.

3) SALES  ENGINEERS

A Sales Engineer, or Customer Engineer, is a sales professional who specializes in understanding all of the technical aspects of a technical product and explaining them to potential consumers. Their duties include consulting on product development, explaining product features to customers during live demonstrations and negotiating contract terms.

Their work is not only to prepare presentations for clients but also to assess the equipment to see if the products meet customer demands. Here are some of the top responsibilities of Sales Engineers in a company:

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
  • Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements.
  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance.
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.
  • Help clients to solve problems with product usage.
  • Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.

4) SITE ENGINEERS

A site engineer is a construction professional who provides technical advice to the various construction crews and subcontractors. They are also responsible for organizing and supervising the construction project. This position on the construction job site is similar to the construction manager as both are managing the construction project packages, supervising staff and providing technical support.

While a site engineer and a construction manager or site manager have overlapping duties, the difference is that a site engineer has more specific technical expertise. Site engineers are educated and hold a degree in civil, geotechnical, structural, building, electrical or mechanical engineering. That puts them in a better position than construction managers when it comes to dealing with or supervising engineering tasks on the construction site.

Site engineers use project management software for a variety of needs, such as collaboration, task management, portfolio management and more.  ProjectManager  is award-winning project management software that has all that and a collaborative platform connecting site engineers to the construction crews whether they’re in the office, on the job site or anywhere in between. That gives them an eye on the project and the ability to share and view project documentation and comment with the team at the task level. Get started with ProjectManager today for free.
