ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

We are urgently hiring for our client in Saudi Arabia.

Position : Electrical Technician

Desired Job Qualifications & Experience:

1. BSc or BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years progressive electrical maintenance experience with voltages up to 480Vac in a manufacturing, industrial or production environment, or the equivalent obtained through work experience and education.
2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade with 5+ years progressive electrical maintenance experience working with voltages up to 480Vac in a manufacturing, industrial or production environment, or the equivalent obtained through work experience and education.
3. Previous packaging or bagging experience or experience obtained in a FMCG environment.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication in English to a reasonable level.
5. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft packages.

Desired Skills:

1. Ability to read and translate electrical drawings and schematics, identify electrical components and follow electrical circuitry sufficiently for effective troubleshooting.
2. Ability to work from electrical schematics, blueprints, drawings, sketches, layout, manuals and other specifications both verbal and written.
3. Ability to use electrical hand tools such as hand conduit benders, fish tape, voltage meters, meggers, ammeters, wire pullers, electrical drills, portable generators, etc.
4. Ability to use diagnostic and measuring equipment such as but not limited to meggers and multi-meters.
5. Ability to install and troubleshoot AC and DC power distribution; install or replace transformers, wire control panels, motors, frequency converters and switchboards.
6. Ability to perform complex troubleshooting such as palletizers, automatic bagging lines, electronic scales, electronic stretch wrap machine, air and hydraulic systems and conveyor systems.
7. Ability to perform general maintenance work involving basic welding and mechanical maintenance.
8. Ability to start the machine and observe the operation to detect malfunction(s) of the machine and hand over to Operation department after correction of such malfunctions.
9. Ability to troubleshoot and repair packaging and bagging machine problems with competent speed and accuracy under time and delivery pressure.
10. Working knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (installation, parameterization via software or handheld module, faultfinding etc.).
11. Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.

Specific Working Conditions:

1. Exposure to extreme summer conditions.
2. Daily overtime.
3. Rotational night and day shifts.
