Textile Engineering / Production Technology for RUSSIA

LLC is seeking an experienced Textile Production Technologist specializing in polyester fabrics to support the launch and scaling of high-performance textile production lines.

The role focuses on decorative and technical fabrics, including upholstery, automotive textiles and potentially airbag fabrics.

This position involves relocation to Russia (

Key Responsibilities

•             Launch, optimize and scale polyester fabric production lines

•             Develop and adjust technological processes (weaving, finishing, lamination, heat-setting, dyeing, calendaring, brushing)

•             Calculate and optimize fabric parameters (density, warp/weft balance, shrinkage, strength characteristics)

•             Work with FDY, DTY, and POY yarns

•             Ensure quality control and defect reduction

•             Adjust machinery settings and troubleshoot production issues

•             Cooperate with laboratory testing (tensile testing, spectrophotometry, etc.)

•             Develop and improve finishing and dyeing processes

•             Participate in KPI achievement (scrap reduction, reaching target capacity)

•             Train local production staff

Required Experience

•             Minimum 5 years of experience in polyester (or polyamide) fabric manufacturing

•             Strong hands-on experience with high-tenacity polyester yarns

•             Deep understanding of weaving and finishing technologies

•             Experience with lamination and velvet production is a plus

•             Knowledge of IATF standards (automotive industry) is a strong advantage

•             Experience with technical fabrics (airbag, filtration, protective textiles) is highly

Equipment Knowledge (Preferred)

Experience working with machinery brands such as:

•             Picanol

•             Unitec

•             Pentek

•             Aigle

•             SSM

•             Thies

Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills required.

Education

•             Degree in Textile Engineering / Production Technology or related technical field

Language Requirements

•             English (B2 or higher)

•             Russian is not mandatory at the start (company provides language support)

Compensation & Benefits

•             Salary: 2000,000 – 3150,000€ net (negotiable depending on experience)

•             Performance-based bonuses (scrap reduction, reaching production targets)
